People Still Can’t Believe 50 Cent’s Extreme Transformation Is Actually Real

Fans of the legendary rapper 50 Cent were amazed by the dramatic transformation he underwent for a 2011 film.

Not only did he star in the film, but he also co-produced it.

Known predominantly for his music, including hits like ‘In Da Club,’ 50 Cent has also developed a notable acting career.

He is particularly recognized for his role as Kanan Stark in the Starz crime-drama “Power.”

His real name is Curtis Jackson III.

He burst onto the music scene with his debut album “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” released under Eminem’s Shady Records.

As a Grammy and Emmy winner, 50 Cent has established a highly successful career.

He continues to challenge himself with various projects, as seen in resurfaced photos from one of his earlier movies.

The movie, titled “Things Fall Apart,” features 50 Cent as Deon.

Deon is an American football running back who dreams of playing in the NFL after a successful college career.

Just as he is about to turn professional, Deon is diagnosed with a genetic disease.

This diagnosis turns his life upside down, destroying his dreams of a football career.

In the film, Deon struggles with cancer and comes to terms with his altered future.

He learns to see the positive side of things during this challenging time.

The late Ray Liotta also stars in the film.

However, the main talking point about the movie is the significant amount of weight 50 Cent lost to play the role, without the need for any CGI.

The 49-year-old rapper embarked on a liquid-only diet and committed to three-hour treadmill workouts every day.

He followed this regimen for nine weeks, a method reminiscent of Christian Bale’s preparation for “The Machinist,” where Bale lost 63lbs (28.5kg).

50 Cent managed to lose an impressive 54 lbs (24.5kg) in just nine weeks for his role.

Although this is slightly less than Bale’s weight-loss record, it is still a staggering achievement.

Upon seeing the transformation, it’s hard to believe that it’s the ’21 Questions’ rapper in the photos.

Especially when you compare the before and after pictures side by side.

The multi-millionaire rapper is usually known for his buff, muscular body.

He often performs shirtless and is best known for appearing shirtless and upside down in the ‘In Da Club’ music video.

When photos of the much thinner star on set were released, there were rumors that it was a hoax.

Jackson quickly addressed these rumors, stating at the time: “I was starving.”

He announced that he would be back on tour after the film wrapped.

“I’ve been eating. I’ll be back in shape in no time!”

Before filming the 2011 flick, the hip-hop artist revealed he had some tattoos removed. He pursued a more serious acting career.

He stated: “I took ’em off. I’ve been on a few acting projects and they been making me get up…

“My call time is four hours before the regular acting talent because of the tattoos.”

This effort proved worthwhile. He landed roles in major films such as “Southpaw” and “Den of Thieves.”

His critically acclaimed and popular TV series “Power” (2014-2020) demonstrated his acting ability.

It firmly placed respect on his name in the acting world.
