Doctor Explains The Average Penis Size And What It Might Mean If Yours Is Smaller

Size really isn’t the be-all and end-all, guys. We’re all aware of that.

Despite this common knowledge, there’s still a huge fixation with size, from people bragging about their ‘whopper’ to making fun of others for their ‘small d**k energy’.

Yet, an expert has noted that many men are actually closer to average than they believe.

Dr. Rena Malik, on her YouTube channel dedicated to medical advice, provides informative videos covering a range of topics including urologic, sexual, and bladder health.

Dr. Malik, who is both a Urologist and a Pelvic Surgeon, revealed in one of her videos the ‘normal’ penis size and discussed what it might imply if yours is smaller than average.

Dr Rena Malik says men are more average down below than what they’d expectYoutube / Rena Malik, M.D.

In her discussions about whether there are ‘scientifically proven ways to increase penile length’, she turned to research to provide some reassurance.

Malik highlighted that a survey of 50,000 heterosexual men showed that a significant 55 percent were dissatisfied with their penis’s appearance.

Despite this dissatisfaction, an overwhelming 85 percent of their partners expressed being ‘satisfied’ with how their willies looked.

Essentially, the issue seems to be more about personal perception.

The doctor pointed out that much of this dissatisfaction is fueled by how pornography distorts perceptions of what is normal.

Interestingly, the ‘average penile length’ is reportedly around 5.2 inches (13.2cm).

“And it’s normal for penile length to be within two and a half standard deviations of that,” she continued.

“So, what’s considered abnormal, in terms of length being too short, would be anything less than 2.9 inches (7.5cm).”

Indeed, gentlemen, that measurement is what defines a micropenis.

It’s noted that only about 0.6 percent of men have this condition. Although it’s very rare, there are several potential causes.

The surgeon mentioned that these could be ‘congenital abnormalities, hormonal issues, previous surgical procedures, or even cancer’.

But, according to Malik, based on her research findings, the vast majority of straight men who are concerned about their size actually have a ‘normal penile length’.

Nevertheless, many still wish for a longer size. “And this is a form of body dysmorphic disorder. It actually has a term, it’s called small penis anxiety” she explained.

She emphasizes that this topic is quite serious and important to discuss because sometimes it can lead men to seek enlargement procedures from ‘non-licensed providers’ or even travel abroad, which can result in severe consequences.

“[This] can have dramatic consequences,” the doctor warned.

“So please don’t do that – look for a reputable urologist or psychologist to help you with these issues.”

So remember guys, don’t get too caught up in boasting or worrying – chances are, you’re pretty much average.
